Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LinePad handles information when you use the Android application.

1. Notes and task content

LinePad stores the notes, task lists, titles, page styles, and related app content you create locally on your device. LinePad does not provide cloud synchronization for this written content and does not send the text of your notes or tasks to an external notes server.

2. Analytics

LinePad uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage and improve reliability and product decisions. Firebase may process information such as app interactions, device and app information, and diagnostic or usage data in accordance with Google's terms and privacy documentation.

3. Advertising

LinePad uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Depending on your region, device settings, consent choices, and Google's advertising configuration, Google may process data such as device identifiers, advertising interactions, approximate location, usage information, and diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and related purposes.

Where required, LinePad uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage advertising consent. Available advertising privacy choices can also be accessed from the app when required for your region.

4. Biometric and device security

If you enable the app lock, authentication is handled through Android's system biometric or device-credential services. LinePad does not receive or store your fingerprint, face template, or other raw biometric data.

5. Files you open or export

If you choose to open a supported local file or export a note, LinePad accesses the file location you explicitly select through Android's system file picker. Exported files remain in the location you choose.

6. Data control and deletion

You can delete notes and task lists from within LinePad. App-local data can also be removed by clearing the application's storage or uninstalling the app, subject to Android platform behavior.

7. Third-party services

LinePad currently integrates Google services including Firebase Analytics, Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), and Google's User Messaging Platform. Those services process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Children's privacy

LinePad is a general-purpose productivity application and is not specifically directed to children. Advertising behavior and consent requirements may vary based on the distribution settings selected for the app in Google Play and AdMob.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when LinePad's features, data practices, or third-party services change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material revisions are published.
